We do not hold auditions to join the company but you are invited in for a probationary period in the first three weeks of your attendance at rehearsals, so you can check us out and to allow us to ensure you will be able to enjoy rehearsals and performances.

We do, however, hold auditions for principal roles, the date of which will be announced at least a month in advance. The aim is always to cast from the company when possible. No pre-audition coaching is held as we prefer to select without preconception.

How to join
Turn up at our rehearsals and say hello. Or send us a message using the contact form below. That’s it!

Commitment
We aim to have fun together but in order to ensure a good standard of performance we do ask that all members attend rehearsals regularly and do not miss any more than three consecutive rehearsals. We also ask you to always let us know if you cannot attend, to ensure that we make best use of every participant’s time.

If you know that you will not be able to attend regularly for a period or think you cannot attend the rehearsals immediately prior to a performance, or perhaps cannot make a performance itself we still encourage you to attend and join in. Just let us know your situation.

The bit about money
Once you join in we ask you to contribute £3 for each rehearsal week, irrespective of whether you attend. These fees are all invested in the running of Mostly G&S, to cover direct expenses and production costs.

Your £3 can be paid weekly, or in lump sums of as many weeks in advance as you prefer. Your choice.
